Global Policy Roundtable

Global Roundtable: National Policy Approaches for Psychosocial Risks and Mental Health at Work 2025

An international conversation and exchange about national policy implementation for work-related psychosocial risks and mental health

About the Global Policy Roundtable

Dr Rachael Potter (Research Fellow at the Psychosocial Safety Climate Global Observatory), Dipl.-Soz. Michael Ertel (Researcher at the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health in Berlin and Chair of the ICOH-WOPS Scientific Committee) and Professor Maureen Dollard (Director of the Psychosocial Safety Climate Global Observatory) will be hosting the 2nd Global Policy Roundtable at the ICOH-WOPS & APA-PFAW joint congress in Vietnam, December 2025.

A major focus of the 2025 Global Policy Roundtable is to discuss policy implementation for better psychosocial risk management across the world – in different countries and cultures. It builds on the work of the inaugural Global Policy Roundtable held in Tokyo 2023.

The Global Policy Roundtable brings together experts from diverse backgrounds to engage in discussions, networking and action planning solutions over two sessions (1.5 hours on Day 1 and 2 hours on Day 2). Participation will provide new insights from other countries, as well as establishing a network that allows for ongoing connections and conversations on the topic of national policy for psychosocial issues.

The Global Policy Roundtable will also be treated as a research project and so some content will be recorded and transcribed for formal data analysis, yet personal identities will be kept anonymous. We intend to produce a report and a publication from the data, which will be shared to all attendees for maximum benefit. The project has been approved by the University of South Australia Human Research Ethics Committee (Ethics Protocol 205180).

Please note, to attend the Global Policy Roundtable you must be registered for the joint congress via the main website. We would appreciate it if you could also register your attendance at https://tinyurl.com/2hr7zvxm, which specifically documents attendance for this roundtable event.

We look forward to seeing you there. A detailed agenda will be sent to you prior to the event.
