Call for Papers: ISB Doctoral Colloquium 2025

OVERVIEW

The ISB Doctoral Colloquium 2025 is designed to provide a platform for doctoral students to present, discuss, and enhance their research under the guidance of distinguished scholars and peers. This year’s colloquium is themed “Integrating Technology, Society, and Health: Innovative Approaches to Enhancing Work and Well-Being in the Digital Age”, exploring how technological advancements can be harmonized with health-promoting work environments to enhance productivity and overall employee well-being.

DOCTORAL COLLOQUIUM TOPICS

We invite doctoral students from all areas of business, management, and related disciplines tosubmit their research papers. This colloquium offers an excellent opportunity for PhD students togain valuable feedback on their work and to network withesteemed scholars, seasonedresearchers, industry practitioners, and fellow doctoral candidatesfromaround the world. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

The single-authored submission text should be neither published nor submitted for publication inany form. Depending on the type of PhD dissertation you are writing and on how advanced you are in your doctoral journey, you should submit one of the following:

  1.  A detailed research proposal for any type of dissertation, particularly if you are in the early phases of your PhD
  2.  A summary of your conventional monograph PhD dissertation.
  3.  An overview of each completed or intended paper in your compilation PhD dissertation (usually consisting of three to four papers), as well as a general summary of the entire compilation
  4.  A particular paper from your entire PhD dissertation that you would like to get feedback on (with an introduction to the overall dissertation and how it connects with the rest of your dissertation).

Regardless of your choice (i.e., 1, 2, 3, or 4 as above) your submitted document must include the following elements and sections:

  • Language: English

  • Full Paper Length: 2,000 – 4,000 words, exclusive of Reference list, Tables, Figures, and Appendices.

  • Format: Full paper should include:

    • Title: No more than 20 words

    • Abstract: No more than 200 words

    • Introduction

    • Literature review and research questions, and/or hypothesis development (if it is quantitative research)

    • Methodology and Data analysis

    • Results

    • Discussion and Implications, and Directions for future studies

    • Conclusion

All registration fees listed above include the welcome and farewell reception, lunch, and coffee breaks as provided. Registration fee as members is applied to the members of the following academic associations:

  1. International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH);
  2. Asia Pacific Academy for Psychosocial Factors at Work (APA-PFAW), and
  3. European Academy of Occupational Health and Psychology (EAOHP)
